Verisense Pulse+ Kit

Development Kits

The second addition to the Verisense platform, Verisense Pulse+ adds increased sensing capabilities to measure photoplethysmogram (PPG), which allows for Heart Rate to be captured. All signals are measured from the wrist.

Furthermore a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) sensor can also be attached to collect skin conductance from the fingers. Verisense Pulse+ retains all the motion sensing capability of the Verisense IMU to support long term Clinical Research studies.

Description

The second addition to the Verisense platform, Verisense Pulse+ adds increased sensing capabilities to measure photoplethysmogram (PPG), which allows for Heart Rate to be captured. All signals are measured from the wrist.

Furthermore a Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) sensor can also be attached to collect skin conductance from the fingers. Verisense Pulse+ retains all the motion sensing capability of the Verisense IMU to support long term Clinical Research studies.

With Verisense Pulse+ you can now measure participants’ heart rate and skin conductance in addition to their activity and sleep levels.

Built specifically to address many of the complex challenges of Clinical Research, Verisense’s innovative design reduces burden on both researchers and trial participants alike:

  • Up to 6 months battery life
  • Quality clinical grade raw data
  • Validated activity and sleep metrics inbuilt
  • Automated data upload to cloud server
  • Alert system to notify and address potential compliance issues
  • No touch, no interface operation – Participant simply wears the sensor

Features & Benefits

◉ Provides continuous raw data
◉ 24×7 data coverage
◉ No recharging for up to 6 months
◉ No need to remove – even for bathing
◉ Minimum burden for sites and participants
◉ Multiple features to ensure data integrity
◉ Advanced remote management features
◉ Flexible styling

Applications

The PPG sensor monitors heart rate by using light absorption to measure changes in participant capillary blood volume. Whereas the GSR sensor measures changes in sweat gland activity, which can be used to assess the participant’s level of psychological and emotional arousal, stress, and other emotional responses. GSR is used for psychology clinical research and biofeedback, and it is starting to be employed in more clinical applications, including epilepsy.
